What I collect
If you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write in your message. Please don’t include more sensitive detail than you are comfortable sharing.
This site is hosted on WordPress.com (Automattic), which collects basic visitor information such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, and uses cookies, to run the site, keep it secure and produce anonymous statistics.
Why I use it
I use your message and email address only to reply to you. My legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering enquiries you have chosen to send me, or taking steps at your request. I do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list without asking you first.
Who sees it
Messages are stored in my email (Google Workspace) and may pass through WordPress.com and Jetpack services to reach me. These providers act on my behalf and may process data outside the European Economic Area under standard safeguards.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case I will tell you what I keep and why.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the information I hold about you, object to how I use it, or ask for a copy. Email me and I will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
